Every year in May, Southport is host to a thriving Jazz Festival, which focuses on performances mainly in The Atkinson, however performances can also be seen in theaters, bars and restaurants and on the street throughout the festival.
JUNE
Southport Food and Drink Festival
The Food and Drink Festival is held in Southport's Victoria Park in June Every Year.
The next event will be held from the 29th May to the 31st of May 2016. Boasting free entry for everyone, Food and Drinks are organised and provided by bars and restaurants from all over Southport and from exotic locations around the world. Accomplished chefs can be seen demonstrating their cooking styles and techniques to visitors.
During the time of the festival, discounts for Southport's restaurants and bars may be available.
The 2015 Festival will be held on 20th -21st June 2015.
This years festival will be held in Victoria Park Southport.
Recommended for its Classic Cars, Military vehicles and Motor Cycles, Model Railways, Model Boats and Model Aircraft, Model Racing Cars, Car Clubs, Band Stand, Refreshments, Bar, Car Boot Sale, Morris Dancing, & so on.
AUGUST
The 2015 Show will be held between 20 - 23 August 2015.
Held in Victoria Park from the 20th to the 23rd of August 2015, the Southport Flower Show showcases award winning gardens and gardeners alike as well as bird displays, craft tents, hobby shops, innovations in kitchen supplies, clothes, attractions for the children and adults alike, food, books, entertainment and live performances.
SEPTEMBER
The Show will be held on 19th to 20th September 2015 at the Southport seafront.
The Southport Air Show is probably the highlight of the summer events in Southport, from the 19th to 20th September of 2015 at the Southport seafront.
OCTOBER
British Musical Fireworks Championship
Another highlight of the Festivals in Southport this year is the British Musical Fireworks Championship, which is no ordinary firework display.
From the 2nd to the 4th of October 2014, several groups of renowned firework artists will be battling for the championship. The festival can be seen from all over Southport, but the best views are from the seafront and around the Marine Lake.
Tickets from £5 to £7 are available.
The Southport Comedy Festival will be held in various venues in Southport throughout October 2015. A quote from the official website; “We are proud to bring you some of the best comedy around in some unique settings." Come to Southport and see the shows, we are sure you will enjoy them all.
